Hi, I'm Ariana

i think that introduction is an important thing to do, specially when you're starting something. so, here are some notes about myself.

i'm Ariana Carvalho Tavares, brazilian, architect and illustrator, 29 y.o. i was born in Goiânia/GO, but already lived in several other brazilian cities, like Jataí/GO, Gurupi/TO, Brasília/DF, São Paulo/SP, and now i'm currently living in New York City/NY. so, moving to a new city is something that i grew up with.

since when i was a child, i enjoyed drawing, painting, stationaries, and things like that. after while, the architecture course was an easy decision to make when i went to the college.

i loved studying architecture, despite the lack of resources of the university that i studied. however, it taught me about sensibility, art, building, design, sense of location, how to be creative and practice at the same time.

still during the college i started drawing on a notebook, not only architeture stuffs, but also expressing myself through the drawings and paintings. then, over time i started drawing everyday, getting better on it, and taking art courses.

however, sharing my artwork with people was a big challenge for me, because i used to be very shy and insecure of what i've done. after while, i overcame the fear by publishing my drawings, sketches and paintings in instagram only 2 years ago.

thereby, i've learned to be confident with my artwork. organizing and publishing them in a website is something really grateful to me, that i achived this year, and i hope you enjoy visiting my portfolio!
