Art Studio Tour

Most of us are at home during the shutdown, so this may be a good moment to open the art studio where I work and show you some details of the space. The studio is in the apartment where I live in Brooklyn, which is very convenient, because I don’t need to rent another space nor commute to somewhere else.

The room is simple and neat. It can get messy when I’m making artworks and exploring different mediums, but I try to clean everything up once it’s done. The only window in the room is enough fill it with natural light, and that’s why the desk is located right in front of it.

The desk has two wide and deep drawers, the left one I use for miscellaneous things, like notebooks, paper clips, cutting board, rulers, scoth tapes, and so on. While the other has some pens, paint tubes and paint palettes.

In addition to that, there’s a drawer unit under the desk where I storage final artworks from 2015 to present time, and also some art prints.

Next to the desk, there are two shelving units for books, brushes, paper pads, sketchbooks, packaging supplies, multi functional printer, laptop, iPad, and office supplies. Some of the books I brought from Brazil and others I got them here in the U.S., and they range from art, to business, and cartoons.

Looking towards the other side of the studio, there’s an easel with some prep canvases. And, because the shevings are completely full, I put some art magazines on the floor - why not? The framed art print on top of the magazines is by one of my favorite artists, Lisa Congdon. To wrap it up, the studio is also where the road bikes and the yoga mat are storaged.

Hope you had an idea of what the space looks like! If you have any questions, please get in touch and I’ll be more than happy to help you. Also, this Friday on April 17, 2020 at 4 pm EST there will be a live studio tour on my instagram, so don’t miss it if you like to take a peek at artist’s studios.

See you there & stay safe!
